Ribbon Cutting at Texas Tech University Historic Dairy Barn Rehabilitation

It was a great honor for Condray Design Group to be part of the Texas Tech University Dairy Barn Rehabilitation ribbon cutting ceremony. Built in 1926, the historical landmark is one of the oldest buildings on campus and has provided the University with a lasting reminder of its agricultural origins. Local community and University leaders, along with Texas Tech students and alumni were present as the newly renovated barn was unveiled. The intent of the design was to successfully reestablish the facility as a fully operational and collaborative educational space.

The Dairy Barn provides a large multi-purpose studio on the first floor complimented by a display that pays homage to the original function of the building. Offices, catering areas and a conference room are also located on the first floor. The second floor boasts a large assembly hall for educational as well as social events.

Special attention was paid to the reuse of components and materials that were original to the Dairy Barn. Natural wood tones complimented by its rustic restored fixtures and clean white forms offer the Dairy Barn a bright, admirable space for future Techsans to discover.
