After five years of dreaming, planning, fundraising and construction, the National Ranching Heritage Center proudly opens its new Ranch Life Learning Center addition. Condray Design Group was honored to design the new Center in tandem with “Hank the Cowdog” author John R. Erickson and multiple consultants to educate visitors about the history, business, and day-to-day operations inside America’s modern ranches.
The Ribbon Cutting ceremony opened with a full house supporting this momentous day, followed by numerous families getting hands-on experiences with the exhibits and outdoor demonstrations. The beloved book character, “Hank the Cowdog,” guides visitors through each feature, paying homage to every phase of ranch life from cattle raising to water conservation.
The Ranch Life Learning Center features interactive displays which introduce visitors to prairie ecology exhibits, ranching tools and machinery demonstrations, an outdoor amphitheater for presentations, as well as a life-size educational windmill.
