The new J.T. & Margaret Talkington YWCA Sun ‘n Fun aquatic center opened Memorial Day weekend. The new facility provides surrounding neighborhoods a cool spot to enjoy during our hot West Texas summers and throughout the year. The family-oriented recreational facility offers the community over 25,000 square feet of fun and includes a full sized basketball court with locker rooms, a racquetball court, an exercise gym, four classrooms, a multipurpose room equipped with full commercial kitchen, and a 35 foot tall climbing wall. The diverse facilities extend outside with an interactive splash park featuring three water slides, a splash pad for the little ones, a covered patio, and a concession stand. Snow cone, anyone?
